Sevgi Fernandez, M.A

I am a mulit-racial woman in an interracial/cross-cultural marriage.  I have three biological children and two step children.  I have a B.A. and a M.A. in Psychology from the Western Institute for Social Research in Berkeley, Ca, for which I am now on the Board of Directors.  My studies included an emphasis on cross-cultural counseling, racial identity formation, and racism in the mental health care system.  I am an advocate for children and families, and have worked as a Teacher, Art Therapist, and Counselor.  I have found that the best therapists and coaches are those who not only have book knowlege but life experience as well.  Along with Coaching, I lecture and run workshops on parenting biracial children, step parenting, and diversity in the workplace.
